Extend 2009.4 Release Notes
Highlights
We've made exciting changes for the Extend 2009.4 release and we hope these improvements make your life a little easier! The major enhancement for this release is:
Form Manager
We have added a Form Manager feature so you can create and store the forms your organization utilizes.Like the Article and Media Manager, the Form Manager is a hub where you can create, view, edit, and delete forms. To access the Form Manager, on the dashboard, click Form Manager. Below is how the Form Manager appears in Extend.

For more information about the Form Manager and its features, in Extend, click Help, then click Contents, and then type Forms in the search box. You can also read the section on Forms in the Extend User Guide.
Enhancements
Custom Code
We eliminated the text and background color fields on the Channel Group Properties page. Your current colors still display on that page, but you will no longer have the option to change the colors there. All site customization can be managed using Custom Code in the Layout Manager. Insert CSS codes to create a custom look for your site.
Site Profile
The Addresses tab has been removed on the Site Profile page.
Corrections
We are working to make Extend as user-friendly as possible. Here are some improvements we have made for this release:
Layout Manager
If you replace an article with a different type of content (i.e. media, forms, or Web feeds), the default display settings are restored, rather than any customized formatting you may have applied to the original article. Customized formatting only applies to articles and publications.
Media
You can now link to images without any caption or link description. Before, an error message displayed if you linked to an image that did not contain a caption or link description.
Web Feeds
We fixed the display issues with Web feeds so that information now displays in its correct format.
Sending E-mails
You can now separate addresses by a space when sending an e-mail to multiple e-mail addresses. Extend will process the space as it would a colon or semi-colon.
Podcasting
The ability to post podcasts has been restored.
