Extend 2010.1 Release Notes
With the 2010.1 release of Extend we are excited to announce a complete overhaul of how forms are handled behind the scenes. The changes we made are not readily apparent, but these improvements will increase the productivity of your organization.
Enhancements
Forms
We have changed the way forms are submitted to you for approval. This process has been streamlined to improve speed and responsiveness.
When a form is submitted, there is no longer a need for a post back to the server.
We have moved all validation to the client side for faster response times.
Articles
Locks on active articles are released automatically every night.
Corrections
We are constantly striving to make Extend as user-friendly as possible. Here are some of the improvements we have included in this release:
Forms
We have removed the italic formatting from the Forms Instructions text box. Text now displays in standard formatting.
Labels with commas are no longer considered corrupt when exporting for form submission.
Exports
Forms operate correctly even if the external form is located on a different page.
Links
You will not receive an error when you click certain context help links.
The Profile link no longer displays when you are signed into the Presentation side as an Access ACS user.
Formatting
When an article expires, the associated banners and borders no longer display.
You no longer receive errors when viewing a channel that contains expired publications.
