Extend Release Notes 2008.1

During April 2008, ACS Technologies implemented the following enhancements in Extend:

Reports
Added a new site search feature. The Search feature can be used to search the following content items:

  • Articles
  • Calendar Views
  • Channel
  • Gadgets
  • Media Items
  • Photo Galleries
  • Publications
  • RSS Feeds

 

 

Reports

Added a new Reports menu to the navigation bar. The new Search feature and Channel Statistics are located here.

 

  

 

Channels
Separated ACS Groups, Classes, and Activities in Channel Restrictions.

 

Search
Added the ability to search by domain name to the Change Site and Site Manager filters.

HTML Editor
Upgraded the HTML Editor. The HTML Editor no longer displays in a pop-up window.

The Save and Cancel buttons have been removed from the maximized HTML Editor. Save and cancel functions now occur on the initial HTML page.


Templates
Templates and plans are now associated through the Template Gallery. 


Converted all active templates to single active templates with customizable options.

Added twelve new template designs.

Photo Gallery
Added Creation and Last Modified information to Galleries and Albums.

Gadgets
Created a new interface for Access ACS gadgets.



Address Locator
Removed the Address Locator from Extend.

Corrections
During April 2008, ACS Technologies performed maintenance on Extend to correct the following:

  • Corrected issue with the Upload Image button displaying for templates that do not have customizable images.
  • Added the Support Admin role. The Support Admin role gives you access to all sites without access to the Network menu.
  • Corrected issue with a pop-up displaying if the browser was left idle.
  • Corrected the server error issue that occurred when items were sorted in the RCI Manager.
  • Corrected issue with Source and Date fields not being cleared in Internet Explorer when None is selected.
  • Corrected issue with the Re-assign Content drop-down not displaying on the Edit Users page after the Layout Publisher roles were removed using the None link.
  • Corrected issue with certain articles images being clipped in Internet Explorer.
  • Added a validation feature to the Account Information page. Validation prevents the removal of features that are still in use.
  • Corrected issue with content being erroneously re-assigned to another partner.
  • Corrected the issue with the pre-existing logo not displaying on the Customize tab in the Channel Designer.
  • Corrected issue with editing a publication release time in Internet Explorer.
